10. Remark

What kind of water is used in cosmetics?

Refined(Purified) water is used in cosmetics.

Refined water means 99.9% pure H2O without microorganisms, heavy metals and impurities.

Why do you need to use purified water when making cosmetics?

Water is a good environment for microorganisms to multiply, so if purified water is not used, it can be easily deteriorated due to microorganisms.

How does the cosmetics manufacturer determine if it has been purified well?

It is determined based on the electrical conductivity.

There are many ions in the water, which are combined by electrostatic attraction, and this ionic substance is called "salt".

When electricity is sent to water, it does not flow well in pure(refined) water, and the more "salt" there is, the better the electricity flows.

In other words, the manufacturer judges how well the water was purified depending on the electrical conductivity value; lower the value, the better purified.

Misleading Claims in Microneedle Skincare Products: 82 Cases Identified
