The Metaverse: A New Industry Emerges

Amid the ongoing shift toward online and non-face-to-face consumption trends due to COVID-19, the Metaverse is emerging as a new industry. The term "Metaverse" is a fusion of "Meta," meaning virtual, and "Universe," signifying space. It denotes a virtual world that offers the realism of the actual world.

With the constraints brought about by the pandemic, the Metaverse has gained popularity by enabling indirect experiences in a virtual environment. This platform allows for the realization of experiences that are otherwise limited in physical spaces, thus catering to the needs of the MZ Generation.

According to the head of the Cosmetics Science Research Center at Jeju National University, "The future of the cosmetics industry must comprehend the total synaptic interactions in offline spaces and online spaces to devise a future-oriented development strategy."

Cosmetics Marketing in the Metaverse Era

With the advent of this new trend, planning a cosmetics marketing strategy that incorporates Metaverse technology could prove beneficial for forward-thinking businesses.
