10. Remark

  • Since dipropylene glycol has a structure in which two propylene glycols are attached, the molecular structure is large. Therefore, it is a safe ingredient that does not accumulate on the skin due to less skin penetration.
  • It also serves as a very useful moisturizer that attracts moisture around the skin with it's water solubility and at the same time prevents moisture from evaporating from the skin.
    • It is a higher raw material than butylene glycol or glycerin in terms of moisturizing power alone. 
    • However, it is also expensive. It is usually two to three times the price of glycerin.
